Traffic redirection

All app traffic can be redirected to the selected URL. In this way, you do not lose your audience, for example, if the app is blocked on the App Store, Google Play, and other store.

You need to specify a URL and MyTracker will enable redirection for all existing app tracking links. After that, when a user clicks on an ad, instead of a broken link, they will be redirected to a specified URL, such as the web version of your application.

The redirect URL can also be a tracking link that you can use to collect stats for all ads.

Only account Owners can redirect traffic. For details, refer to the User management section.

Enable redirection

To enable traffic redirection:

  1. In the application list, select the application, for which you need to redirect traffic.
  2. Go to the Traffic redirection tab and specify Redirect URL. This is the URL to which the user will be redirected after interacting with any ad with MyTracker tracking link.
  3. To keep track of redirected traffic stats, use a special tracking link to the web version of your app as the Redirect URL.

  4. Click Save. Traffic redirection will be enabled within 15 minutes (it might take longer due to the large number of tracking links).

As a result, if users click on any application ads that have MyTracker tracking links embedded, they will be redirected to the specified URL.

In the MyTracker interface, the application symbol will be changed to , , or . And you will not be able to create new tracking links for this app.

Disable redirection

To disable traffic redirection:

  1. In the application list, select the application, for which you need to disable redirection.
  2. Go to the Traffic redirection tab and delete Redirect URL.
  3. Click Save. Traffic redirection will be disabled within 15 minutes (it might take longer due to the large number of tracking links).

As a result, the redirection will be disabled. All tracking links of the application will work as usual.

In the MyTracker interface, the application symbol will be changed to , , or .
