A partner is a company that helps develop your project. It could be advertising networks such as myTarget and GoogleAds, monetization platform, analytics systems, and others.

Arranging campaigns by partner helps evaluate the results of the partnership, identify effective channels in time and rebalance the budget.

Partners list

To see the partners list go to the page Campaigns > Partners.

If a desired partner is not part of that list, you can add a new one, who would only be available in the account where they have been added to.

In the list you can find:

  • Categories that lets you filter partners by collaboration type:
    • Traffic source — partners who carry out advertising campaigns, for example, myTarget and Google Ads.
    • Ad monetization — partners who monetize your app, for example, myTarget and ironSource.
  • Featured partners — major and most popular companies, for which we've worked out the integration process in detail.
  •  Integrated partners — companies, for which we've already set up integration. For partners without the symbol you can complete integration through the link Settings.
  • System partners : Organic and No partner, for tracking organic and paid traffic, attracted without advertising networks.

Partner settings

Settings depend on the partner's status:

  • for myTarget, Apple Search Ads, Google Ads, DoubleClick, and ironSource please use the specific integration instruction (see nested sections);
  • for other integrated partners (with the symbol), just set up the event sending;
  • for new partners and partners without , you need to add macros, campaign params, postbacks and set up the event sending.

Events sending

To inform partner about application events (installs, payments, etc.), you need to set up the events sending. You can pass data on either all users or only those «brought in» by a partner.

Campaign params

Campaign parameters are integration parameters with a specific value set up by each advertiser. Some partners give the advertisers sdkKey/clientId type parameters and insist that the trackers send the values ​​of these parameters in the postbacks. Therefore, the partners break down the data for the clients. For example, if parameters are set up for the partner, then when you set up a campaign for this partner myTracker will ask the user to enter the parameter values. In a template postback URL, macros for partner parameters have the prefix mtpp_.

Please note that the parameters do not change from one postback to another. They are set up once within the campaign, and in the future myTracker automatically uses them when sending postbacks to the partner.

Macros are special labels or markers used in click-URL, view-URL and postback URL templates. When generating the final click-URL that will be shown to the user, macros must be replaced with specific values ​​(the replacement is performed by the partner). By default, myTracker uses its own macros in the click-URL in the form of {macro_name}, but many partners have their own set of macros. In such cases it is necessary to create a table where myTracker and partner macros are matched, and when using the click-URL template, use partner's. Each partner can be given any number of macros.

For partners who have be integrated, macros are already set up, and you do not need to do anything else. If there is a need to set up a partner who is not on the list, then you can do it yourself.

You can define a list of postbacks for each partner: add events list and pass data in URL templates (click-URL params, constants, macros, or campaign params).
