Partners

A partner is a company that helps you develop the project. It can be advertising networks such as VK Ads + myTarget and GoogleAds, app monetization platforms, analytics systems, etc.

Connecting a partner to MyTracker will allow you to get a quick gauge on partnership results, to identify effective channels, and to re-balance the budget of your project.

Partners list

To see the partners list go to Marketing > Partners.

If the partner you work with is not on that list, you can add one yourself (they'll be available within the account where you added them) or contact our support team.

To make your life easier, we have Categories and highlight featured and integrated partners:

  • Categories allow you to filter partners by cooperation type:
    • Traffic source — partners who carry out ad campaigns, e.g. VK Ads + myTarget and Google Ads.
    • Ad monetization — partners that help you monetize in-app ads, e.g. ironSource.
  • Featured partners are the largest and most popular companies for which we have a detailed integration process in place.
  •  Integrated partners are companies for which we've already set up integration parameters. For partners without the symbol, you can complete integration through the Settings.
  • System partners: Organic to analyze organic traffic and No partner to analyze traffic for campaigns run without a partner: mailing, social media blogs, etc.

Partner settings

These settings depend on the partner's status:

  • for VK Ads + myTarget, Apple Search Ads, Facebook and some others use dedicated integration instructions (see nested sections);
  • for other integrated partners, marked with , just set up event sending;
  • for new partners and partners without , you need to add a list of macros and campaign parameters, create a list of postbacks and set up event sending.

All settings are available on the partner page on the following tabs:

Events sending

To inform a partner about events in the app (installs, payments, etc.), set up postbacks. You can transmit data on the entire project audience or only on those brought in by the partner.

For more details, refer to Sending postbacks

Campaign parameters

Campaign parameters are integration parameters with a specific value set up by each advertiser. Some partners provide the advertisers with sdkKey/clientId parameters and insist that the tracking systems send the values of these parameters in the postbacks. This allows the partner to break down the data by an advertiser. For example, when you set up a campaign for a partner, if the parameters for them were set, MyTracker would ask you to enter the parameter values. In a template postback URL, macros for partner parameters have the prefix mtpp_.

Please note that parameters do not vary from postback to postback. They are set up once within a campaign, and MyTracker automatically inserts them when sending postbacks to the partner.

For more details, refer to Campaign parameters

Macros

Macros are dedicated labels or markers used in tracking link templates, as well as in postbacks. Using macros, you can send data like ad conversions and app events to your partner.

For integrated partners, macros are preset, so you do not have to do anything else. For non-integrated partner that you have connected, you can set up macros yourself.

For more details, refer to Partner macros and Postback parameters sections

Postbacks

You can define a list of postbacks for each partner: specify events to be posted and add the necessary data to the URL templates (tracking link parameters, constants, macros, or campaign parameters).
